November 2008

If you clicked over here, you must be interested in my novel The Long Winter.  Just for you, I have put up a chapter from the book that you can download: The Long Winter, PDF.  The download is 100% free, no registration required, so have at it.

Please do email me or comment here with your thoughts or feedback.  If you’d like to be kept informed of when the full book is available, please click “Subscribe via Email” in the sidebar.

I am, of course, looking for an agent to pitch the manuscript to once I have polished it off.  I welcome any ideas in that respect.

Looking for more?  Can’t get enough of me?  Check out my Cultural Property and Archaeology Law Blog, my Freelance Lawyering website, or even the Magic Cabin site, where I blog on remote living in Alaska.

Thanks for stopping by my humble site!

Winner!

Ah, November has come to a close, and what a productive November it was. It was my first National Novel Writers Month, and I plunged in, head first, and participated. I may have lost my bikini top and scraped my nose on the bottom of the pool in the process, but I did it. I dove in and completed my very first novel, The Long Winter.

Now, I just have to get to editing, which is likely to be no small endeavor! With any luck, in the future you’ll be seeing a post that I somehow finagled a publication of what I can muster of a masterpiece. Thanks to all at NaNoWriMo that made this a great success for me and many others! Hear hear!

Write on… Kimberly.
