In chatting with Tina, she gave me the great idea of putting some of my own lyric samples up on this site. I’d simply never thought of it! But I have copyrighted those bad boys so why not. Here is a sample if you’re curious:

I got my first speechwriting assignment last week. It was challenging because the company has had economic turmoil recently but wanted to have a cheery speech for an executive to give at the holiday party.
It was interesting work! I have posted a modified version of the final speech here. I’ve also put in a link in the sidebar as a sample. I was told my original version was a little too “philosophical” because I used more allusion to the metaphor of the ship at storm, so it ended up a bit more pragmatic than my tendency would have been. But, what can I say? I’m a dramatist.
